Our mission
Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate and community crises. Applying our model of quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real time, WCK has served more than 200 million nourishing meals around the world, helping devastated communities recover.

Our work
We have an especially strong footprint in the Caribbean, coming to the aid of local communiites and setting up Resilience Centers after the damage wrought by Hurricanes Maria and Fiona in Puerto Rico (top left photo), the earthquakes that upended lives on Haiti in 2010 and 2021 (top right photo), Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas in 2019 and more.
